RUTX09 only using 4G interface unless disabled then will use WAN Interface?

Hi guys,

I have a RUTX09 we have setup with a WAN interface (Fiber to the Premise) and 4G Sim Interface (to be used as fail over).

I am have read the Wiki on Teltonika and from what I can see I have setup everything as mentioned but having a issue with the 4G Interface always being the interface it using to download from.

If I unplug the WAN interface it fails over and says that the Mobile interface is then active and WAN offline and if I plug the WAN back in it reports that the WAN is active and the 4G is on standby. The Mobile interface is still active as speed is still at mobile data rates, and the download of data is on the 4G interface.

If I disable the 4G interface the WAN port will work and at full speed as it should do. It is just when I enable the Mobile interface it seems to take over even though it indicates it is not. I have also tried this on the 2nd Mobile interface and I have the same results!

The Firmware I am running is RUTX_R_00.07.14.

Hello,

Could you please check what IP type (IPv4 or IPv6) you’re receiving from your ISP on the mobile WAN interface (mob1s1a1)? If it’s IPv6, please try changing the PDP type to IPv4 by navigating to the Network → WAN page and pressing Edit on the mob1s1a1 interface.

PDP IPv4 option

Additionally, I’d recommend enabling all available Flush connections on options for both the WAN and mob1s1a1 failover interfaces.

Could you please give this a try and let me know if it resolves the issue?

Best regards,
