RUTX08 unreachable through WebUI after firmware update

Hello, after updating RUTX08 firmware to RUTX_R_00.07.09.3. I encountered an issue, what I can not login through webUI, I am receiving “device is unreachable. Please check connection”. However PING, SSH even devices connected to router are working properly.

So far tried, logging-in through HTTP, HTTPS. Router restart. UHTTPD service restart it didn’t help.

Maybe someone has suggestions what else can be done, without factory resetting the device.

hi…
I know… sounds " stupid " sugestion… but works some days, ago.
Turn the device off, remove power supply, and turn the device on.

Can you let us know why you went specifically to version 07.09.3?
Latest version is 07.12.3 and you should always use the very latest version, otherwise it’s very hard to troubleshoot.

Can you upgrade your router to the latest version using the Bootloader Menu described here:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Bootloader_menu

And of course use the latest firmware from here:

Firmware update was done by other person and when it was done it was actually the latest version. After update no-one was bothered to check it out.

Is it possible to update firmware from CLI, as router location is different to mine ?

Hello,

Could you please let me know if you’re still experiencing this issue?

Best regards,

Hello,

yes we are still facing this issue.

Tried so far: found a testing Teltonika RUTX08 router and applied a config from RUTX08 which is experiencing this issue (device unreachable through WebUI). In the final result, I receive same issue on test RUTX08, so I suspect issue should be in config file (I can assure what uhttpd config is good, it doesn’t break test RUTX08)

Firmware version on test RUTX08 is latest (Same issue with 07.09.3 and 07.12.3)

Also I thought maybe issue is in uhttpd.crt and uhttpd.key, but I copied uhttpd.crt and key from test RUTX08 to client RUTX08, it also did not help.

Could you please try performing a factory reset on the device and check if the issue persists?

If the issue is still present, I recommend updating the device firmware via the bootloader menu. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: Bootloader menu.

Please let me know how it goes!

Best regards,

Update: we managed to solve issue on our own

Solution: Took clean RPCD config from test RUTX08 and uploaded to RUTX08 with issues, restarted service and WebUI finally accepted creds.

Hello,

I’m glad to hear the issue is resolved!

Feel free to reach out on the forum if you have any more questions or concerns.
