I have a RUTX-09 with sim card to access the internet which was working nicely until i did a recent firmware update to RUTX_R_00.07.09.4.
Having trawled the forums and trying a few things, all attempts thus far have failed. One last post I read suggested to perform a factory reset which i have done but with no success.
What info do i need to share to resolve my issue?
Hi, Internal LAN ping was all OK. External Ping. ping -4 8.8.8.8 & ping -6 2600:: both failed.
I resorted to rolling back the firmware to RUTX_R_00.07.06.10_WEBUI.bin, fail. RUTX_R_00.07.08.2_WEBUI.bin also fail.
So i then removed the sim to insert it into another, Huawei brand, router same behaviour fail. It obtains an IP but does not allow internet access.
So i contacted my carrier who has since reported the sim to have a technical fault. They are shipping a new sim card out.
This happened once before when i first setup my RUTX09, a year ago. I’m thinking multiple sim connection retries causes the technical fault at the carrier.

A new replacement sim card arrived, loaded into router with RUTX_R_00.07.09.4_WEBUI.bin installed. After reconfiguring everything, it now works.
Spotted a new firmware so upgraded to that RUTX_R_00.07.10_WEBUI.bin.
The router is still operating this morning
