RUTOS and Homeassistant error

I’m a RUT200 user for my home, and using HomeAssistant (via Docker on a Raspi4B) I face an error with the Teltonika official intégration:

Needs attention
RUT200
Failed setup, will retry: 1 validation error for ApiResponse[DeviceStatusData] data.static.release.target Field required [type=missing, input_value={‘revision’: 'r16279-5cc0…‘distribution’: ‘RUTOS’}, input_type=dict] For further information visit Validation Errors | Pydantic Docs

Already identified? Any solution?
Thank you

I just forget to give the RUTOS version :
RUT2M_R_00.07.24.5
and the Home Assistant Version too :
Core 2026.9.2 / Frontend 20260826.7

Hi, I dont think this is a teltonika issue, their api works how it was designed, most likely home assistant issue

teltasync uses Pydantic to strictly validate the JSON payload returned by the router (from the /api/system/device/status endpoint)

device returns static.release with only revision and distribution, completely omitting the target key

but pydantic treats target as mandatory field, so you get the validation error, you need to make target an optional field

find the model schema and change target: str to target: str | None = None

Greetings,

Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed report.

The error appears to originate from the Home Assistant Teltonika integration, which is not part of the Teltonika firmware.

Based on the error message, it appears that the integration expects a release.target field that is not present in the response received from the router. This could be the reason why the integration fails to complete the setup. However, since we haven’t tested the issue ourselves, we cannot confirm this as the definite cause.

As suggested by the user above, you can try making the target field optional in the integration’s data model. Please note that we cannot guarantee that it will resolve the issue.

We would also recommend checking for updates to the Home Assistant Teltonika integration or reporting the issue to its maintainers.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Best regards,
Martyna
