Hello community,
I’m asking for your support in setting up the GPS functionality of a RUTM54.

On the web interface under Services|GPS|Map, I still get the message “no GPS signal.” Perhaps an intermediate layer is missing? How can I narrow down the problem?

Hello,

Could you please specify which firmware version is currently installed on your RUTM54?

If it’s not the latest version (7.15.2), please update your device. You can download the latest firmware from the following link: RUTM54 Firmware Downloads

After updating, please check if the issue persists and let me know the results.

Best regards,

Yes, the router is running the latest firmware version RUTM_R_00.07.15.2. The problem also occurred with the firmware out of the box. Updates to 7.15.1 and 7.15.2 had no effect on the error described in the first post.

Also shows gpsctl -seix

Although cat /dev/ttyUSB1 as described above clearly shows correct GPS reception.

Hello,

I have sent you a form to fill out. Once it is completed, I will contact you privately regarding this issue. Please use Ticket ID “14451” as a reference.

Best regards,

Thank you, I have filled out the form provided.

Hello,
the new firmware RUTM_R_00.07.16.1 fixes the problem – GPS reception works immediately. The position is also displayed as expected in the router’s web interface under Services|GPS|Map.

Also shows gpsctl -seix
