RUTM50 factory reset completed but default WebUI credentials are rejected

Hello,

I need assistance recovering administrative access to a Teltonika RUTM50. The router is operating normally and provides Internet access, but I cannot log in to the WebUI.

I have tried:

Connecting directly by Ethernet with Wi-Fi and VPN disabled.

Opening https://192.168.1.1.

Using the username admin and the unique WebUI password printed on the device label (not the Wi-Fi password).

Entering the password manually while checking uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.

Performing a factory reset by holding the RESET button for 20 seconds and waiting for the signal LEDs to flash.

Entering bootloader recovery mode and reinstalling the official RUTM50 firmware.

After completing both the factory reset and firmware recovery, the printed credentials are still rejected, although routing and Internet access continue to work. Could you please advise how to recover administrative access and whether this device requires an RMA or another recovery procedure?

For security, I have not posted the device password, serial number, IMEI, or MAC address publicly. I can provide device identifiers privately if an authorized Teltonika representative needs them.

Thank you.

What browser are you using? Try a different browser. Is the browser being used up to date?

What date and time and timezone is the chosen device set to?

On a very rare occasion i have failed to login to online resources using firefox, rejected password. When i have then used Chrome the password is accepted!!!

I have also experienced failed logins caused by the device having an incorrect date, time and or timezone!! No idea why.

I’ll assume that you’ve explored 0 and O and 1 and l, Q and 0 and or O, o etc Oh and B and 8 and so on…

Hello @ttioil,

Apologies for the delayed response.

Could you kindly confirm whether the issue has been resolved, or if you still require any assistance?

Best regards,
