RUT955 SMS admin password issue

I can’t get any response of our RUT955 while using the sms utilities WITH admin password.

Syntax I use:

<password><space><command> as stated here

When I deactivate the admin password for example for “status” it works. Therefor i can receive and send SMS.
The password obviously works when i login into the web interface.

The password has some special characters like “!”. The documentation says this is no problem but i am really not sure. Is there any way for encapsulate or encode the password? Like quotes, BASE64 or something else?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please specify which firmware version you are currently using on your RUT955? If it is not the latest version, I kindly recommend upgrading to the latest firmware of RUT9_R_00.07.06.17

I’ve tested the SMS utilities functionality on my end and couldn’t replicate the behavior you described. If the issue persists after updating the firmware, please let me know, and we can further investigate this matter.

Kind regards,

this is my “status” output from my attempt without admin password activated:

Router name - RUT955; WAN IP - 10.xxx.xx.xx
; Data Connection state - Connected; Network type - LTE; Signal Strength - -73; New FW available - No;

Unfortunatly i am no longer at the remote site and have currently no local access right now.

I also added a second user with admin privileges (admin user group). Maybe this could be an issue?

For my testing I only used the password for bakedin admin user.
