Hello. I need help.
I updated RUT955 to firmware RUT9_R_00.07.06.17.
After the update all my settings are lost. I am sure that I had the “keep settings” switch enabled.
I then tried to install a backup of my old config which is a “xxxx.tar.gz” file. I get the following error: “Invalid backup Not enough memory available on device”
The file is 227.3 KB.
I can extract that file on my pc without any problem. That gives me two folders etc and usr
I also tried different backups. I get the same error for all my backup files
Have you tried downgrading the firmware to the same one, you have saved the backup on? As the device has to be the same model, have the same firmware, and same product code, for the firmware to fit.
If this criteria cannot be met, the backup unfortunately cannot be uploaded.
Thank you for your help. The backup page from the UI shows me the following info: “Only configuration file from identical device with same or lower firmware version can be uploaded” So I think loading a backup from a lower firmware version should work. But I can try to downgrade again install the and than try to upgrade again.
