RUT951 can't to RMS with initial PW

Is it normal behaviour that I need to manually log into the device and change the PW when I try to register the device in RMS?

Could you please provide a more detailed description of your issue and the exact steps to replicate it?

Do you mean that you are unable to register the device to RMS until you change its password? If so, what error do you receive — is it an “incorrect password” message or something else?

Additionally, if you try to log in to the WebUI using the same password you are attempting to register your RUT951 with on RMS, does it work, or do you still receive an error?

Yes, this is precisely the issue.
It always returns that the password is incorrect.

We can’t upgrade the FW because our customer requires a very specific landing page that need to be added via WinSCP. When I upgrade to the latest FW the “hotspotlogin” folder disappears.

Yes, the login into the WebUI works, but it requires me to create a new password.
I believe I found the issue.

Our current workflow is:

  1. Downgrade firmware to 7.06

  2. Upload backup

  3. Change landing page

I can’t downgrade using the password on the back of the router, but if I select only the backup upload, it works.

I think we’ll make a new landing page that can be included in the backup.
