RUT301 as Wireguard VPN Gateway

Hello,

I am trying to set up a RUT301 as a wireguard gateway.

The RUT301 connects to an existing wireguard server. It should be possible to access all devices in the WAN network of the RUT301 from the wireguard network.

The connection to the wireguard server works.

The routing between LAN and WAN also works (PC on the LAN connection can reach devices on the WAN connection).

What does not work, however, is access to devices on the WAN via a wireguard connection.

I have set up a firewall zone.

Does anyone have an idea where the error could be?

Try it without Wireguard forwarding to the WAN.

Then it’s probably worth ensuring that …

a) ‘Allowed IP’s’ are set correctly at both ends of the tunnel

b) in your peer(s) General Setting’s, that ‘Route allowed IPs’ is enabled

If you do a search on the Community, then you’ll find plenty of Wireguard questions and their answers.
