RUT260 Losing Internet Connection

Hello!

I started to use a Teltonika RUT260 a couple of days ago:

  • Device: Teltonika RUT260
  • Product Code: RUT26000XXXX
  • Batch No.: 2
  • Hardware revision: 1
  • Firmware version: RUT2M_R_00.07.07.3
  • Kernel version: 5.15.149

After a restart everything works fine, but every couple of hours the router loses internet connection and does not reconnect.

This is what I checked so far:

  • The administration panel says “connected”
  • Checked the logs dozens of times, nothing suspicous to see there (at least for me)
  • Updated to the latest firmware
  • Created troubleshoot files after a restart and after I noticed the internet connection was not working anymore
  • Both antennas are properly connected to the device
  • It makes no difference if I connect via wifi or cable

Connection resets do not help. I have to reboot the device, otherwise it will not reconnect. I tried to check the troubleshoot files, but I am not able to understand these files or do not know where to search for a solution.

If you could help me out here, e.g. by checking the troubleshoot files, I would greatly appreciate it. Is it okay to upload my troubleshoot files to this topic or should they be shared via personal message?

Before we proceed, have you tried reinstalling the firmware using bootloader? This can often resolve issues caused by corrupted firmware and it is usually our last resort option to determine whether the issue is firmware or hardware-related.

Also, for further troubleshooting, we need additional sensitive information that cannot be shared on this public forum. Would be great if you could create your troubleshoot file right after the problem repeats and before the reboot of the device. Therefore, a form has been sent to your registered email address. Please fill it out, and upon completion, we will contact you via email to provide further instructions and information.

To get a troubleshoot file:

  1. Log in to device WebUI
  2. Press on System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot
  3. Scroll down to Troubleshoot section and press “Download”
