RUT241 WiFi Signal Strength 0%

One of my recently deployed RUT241s is experiencing a WiFi signal issue as the end device is offline. The signal strength appears to be 0% but I’m able to scan and detect other networks. Please advise.

You wanna try firmware 7.09?
There are many additions/changes/fixes for wireless included.
See how it goes then?

No change :frowning: I’m wondering if at least one client needs to be connected to determine signal strength.

I have experienced this several times
It occurs when updating the firmware, something gets corrupted
It does not occur on every device, approx 10%

My solution has been to:
Record device settings separately
Factory reset the device
Update firmware to latest (ensure you DO NOT check keep device settings)
Setup device as normal

I was hoping that @TucorTech did that already when going from 7.08 to 7.09…
But let’s see what he says.

Hello,

Yes, you are correct.

For the RUT241 to determine the signal strength, there should indeed be at least one connected AP client. The ability to scan and detect other wireless networks and APs is a default function. For more detailed information about the RUT241’s wireless functionality, you can visit this page: RUT241 Wireless.
