I’m trying to connect to RUT241 remotely. If I have set up the VPN correctly I should be able to connect to the RUT241 WUI correct? When connected to my VPN I can’t not ping my RUT241 on it IP 192.168.250.2. What could be the reason? Its very basic setup, so not sure were I have gone wrong.
Hi, @Jacven
Please… what kind of VPN are you using?
IPSEC?
Can you check the status of it?
Or… are you using other kind of vpn? Can you check the status of it?
Greetings, @Jacven ,
Thank you for your question,
To be able to assist you more effectively, could you please clarify the following:
- Type of VPN that you are using
- Network topology
This information will allow us to troubleshoot further,
Warm regards,
V.
Hi Gents
Using the RMS VPN Hub setting are below. Trying connect to a device 192.168.250.1.
Basic Topology
Greetings,
Thank you for the additional information.
From the screenshots, it appears that two RMS → LAN firewall zones are present, which can create routing or NAT conflicts. To narrow down the issue, could you confirm whether an additional OpenVPN configuration is active on the device? If so, please temporarily disable it and try accessing the device again to see whether the behavior changes.
Additionally, it may help to ensure that masquerading is enabled on the WAN/RMS-facing zone, as this can prevent address translation issues when the device communicates with RMS.
Please let me know the results after testing, and I’ll be happy to assist further.
Warm regards,
V.
Thank you Vilius. That did the trick not sure where the second RMS-Lan came from. Anyways deleted both and resent to RUT241
