RUT241 can't ping devices in LAN

I have 3 RUT241 with newest Firmware RUT2M_R_00.07.20.1.

I didn’t change any network settings.
If i connect my laptop via ether i can’t ping the laptop from router.
If i connect the laptop via wlan i can ping it.

With all my others RUT240 i have no problems.

Any suggestions?

  • IP Address and Subnet: Ensure that the laptop connected via Ethernet is receiving a DHCP lease in the same subnet as the router. If a static IP is configured on the laptop and it’s outside the router’s subnet, it could prevent ping responses.
  • Firewall / LAN Settings: Check if there are any firewall rules or LAN isolation settings that could block traffic between the router and devices connected via Ethernet.
  • Cables and Ports: Although it seems basic, testing with different Ethernet cables or ports on the RUT241 may rule out hardware issues.
  • Compare Settings: Since your RUT240 devices work fine, you could export the network settings from a working RUT240 and compare them with your RUT241 to spot any differences.

If after these checks the issue persists, it may be specific to the RUT241 firmware 07.20, in which case testing with a previous firmware version could help confirm that.
