RUT241 Bootloader checksum

Hi,

I’m analyzing my RUT241 bootloader to discover if it suffers any modification and encounter inside the next information that scared me.

Version and build date:
%s, 2024-01-12

Modification by:
Piotr Dymacz piotr@dymacz.pl
GitHub - pepe2k/u-boot_mod: U-Boot 1.1.4 modification for routers

Probably is nothing, but if somebody can share the MD5 of his bootloader in order to compare and verify the integrity may help. The data of mine is:

MD5 58c6f0d45e4c8672194dc0c2a81c1c51
U-Boot version string, “U-Boot 1.1.4-9b071498-clean”

Thank you!

Finally i can confirm that is a modificated bootloader.

¿Where can i get a copy of the official?

Good afternoon,

I have queried this information from our RnD department. I will inform as soon as I receive a response myself.

Regards,
Arturas

Good afternoon,

Our RnD departament have checked the U-Boot checksum is correct. You are using U-Boot version 4.3.0, which can be confirmed by logging into the device’s WebUI and navigating to Status → System.

Your bootloader is the same as when the device was first manufactured. The Md5 hash is correct.

From your description, it seems you are comparing the U-Boot checksum from your RUT241 device with an older version (2.0.1) found on a wiki page for RUT230/RUT240 devices, and are concerned about the mismatch.

Regards,
Arturas
