For a few weeks we have been having connectivity problems with RUT240 and the firmware version RUT2XX_R_00.01.13.3. Performing a simple ping we lose more than 60% of the packets. If we update the firmware of these devices, should this incident be solved? Has anyone come across this issue?
Hello,
Packet loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including network congestion, faulty hardware, routing problems, weak or lost signals, firmware issues, and more. Therefore, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the packet loss you’re experiencing.
However, the firmware you are currently using is indeed very old. There were plenty of changes and improvements to device operation since then. I would suggest trying to update to the latest firmware version if possible. Keep in mind that you may need to update to the latest legacy version first, and then to the latest version afterwards.
Kind Regards,
