We are having an issue with one unit. The Mobile Network metadata does not display in the gui status page, and execution of command like (from the command line)
Otherwise, the device is working, I can connect to it via http and SSH and - port fowarding is working. gsmctl -p wwan0 returns the public ip successful
Firmware: RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.7 - deployed at a remote site - so firmware upgrade or reinstallation is not easily possible.
This has been happening for a week. It does occassionally work once after a reboot.
Any ideas appreciated?
I understand that changing the firmware is difficult, but without it, we cannot determine the source of this issue. In that instance, there is a technique to remotely upgrade the firmware, either through RMS or by accessing the router through a specific port (e.g. 80) via the Public IP.
You can add the router to RMS (if it hasn’t already been added) and remotely upgrade the firmware.
Please try doing a firmware upgrade to the “<7.06>”, you can find the firmware file on link below
Note: Before doing the firmware upgrade we would like you, to take a copy of the device’s backup and troubleshoot file in order to secure a copy of your current configuration.
You can upgrade the firmware on the router following below:
WebUI > System > Firmware > Update firmware > Turn off keep settings option > Upload the firmware
Note: Before doing the firmware upgrade we would like you, to take a copy of the device’s backup and troubleshoot file in order to secure a copy of your current configuration for any circumstances, It is advisable to perform the firmware upgrade when the device is physically accessible to you or if you can ensure remote access through RMS or SMS Utilities as backup access.
