Rut240 firmware

Hello everyone, when i connect rut240 and startet update firmware or backup configuration, can i unlpug the ethernet cable or will i have a problem?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

When updating the firmware or backing up the configuration on your RUT240, the need to keep the Ethernet cable plugged in depends on how you are performing the update:

  1. Updating Firmware from Server: If you are updating the firmware directly from a server, there is no specific need to keep the Ethernet cable connected throughout the process. The connection is generally required only to initiate the update and communicate with the server.
  2. Uploading Firmware/backup: If you are uploading the firmware image file directly from a device, please ensure that the Ethernet cable remains connected until the image file is fully uploaded and the update process is committed. Once the upload is complete and the update process is committed, you may safely unplug the cable.

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Best regards,

Thanks, and a last question, if i have wifi enabled, does it matter? because sometimes connection with wifi is down while the update. May it affects the right upgrade?

You’re welcome.

The WiFi connection being enabled does not affect the firmware update process. It is normal for WiFi or other services to be temporarily unavailable during the update until it is fully complete.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let us know.

Best regards,
