RUT200 unable to connect using 3G

Hello, I have 15 RUT200 (latest FW) that they are configured to select the network automatically. The thing is that when they try to connect using 3G the connections is unsuccessful. They only get connected using 4G, but if no 4G coverage in the location then they cannot connect.

I tried selection only 3G but same issue, they no connect.

The messages I receive say:

• Mobile EMM reject cause: ESM failure
• Mobile ESM reject cause: Requested service option not subscribed

but I’m not sure if those messages are related with the failure. I tried the same SIMs in Mikrotik wAP devices and they can connect using 3G so I discarded something wrong with the service itself.

Do you have any idea on what could be wrong? Thanks!

Hi, can you try to set PDP type to IPv4?

Hi @iBoucher thanks for your suggestion. I tried changing the PDP with no luck. However, after trying different setups I realised that setting the APN manually did the trick.

In summary, in order to connect via other technology apart of 4G, I need to set the APN manually, at list for my operator.
