RUT200 and SMS with I/O juggler

Dear Teltonika Team,

I’m currently trying to achieve something that seems easy : send an SMS when the input is rising to 1. I configured everything properly, as per the printscreens below. When the input rises to 1, I also setup the rule to set the output to 1. This last one works, but no sms is sent. When the input fall to 0, I setup the rule to set the output to 0. Once again, this last works, but still no sms sent. I tested the sms function in the Service>Mobile Utilities>Messages>Send Messages, and it works (sim card and network is ok).
Am I missing something? I’m a bit confused..

Hi,

Your configuration seems correct, so SMS messages should be working.

Since they aren’t try to enter your phone in different format, e.g. either with “+” prefix at the start, or with the “00” prefix instead of “+” symbol.

If changing recipient phone number format would not result the issue, you could disable you current IO Juggler rules and try to create rules in “Services → Event Juggler” menu. Maybe that would do the trick.

Hi,

After a firmware upgrade (I thought this could be part of the issue), i switched to the Event Juggler. See printscreens below. I could still not find out why, but it worked three times yesterday (see smartphone printscreen)

, without changing anything. Then it stopped functioning. I really struggle to find the reason, as those points were verified :

  • Config seems correct

  • SMS messaging is verified (network and sim card are ok), either with “+..” or “00..” phone number

  • Juggler event is functioning, as the output switches properly between On and Off depending on the input rising or falling

@Teltonika , any idea?

Hello,

Since your configuration appears to be working somewhat, but stops after a few SMS messages, this could be related to the SIM card used with the device. Would it be possible to test a SIM card that is from a different provider just to see if the issue persists?

Regards,
M.
