Hi,
I have several RUT240 routers. On one of them, I managed to install FW version 7.04.4 via the server download utility. However on another one, it can only download an inferior version (7.04.3 if I remember correctly) and it says this is the latest. And the 7.04.4 cannot be found to download as a file. The problem then is that I can’t import my configuration from the other one. And I’ve spent quite a lot of time making it right.
Separately, I have noticed that upgrading from the old kind of firmware to the new one causes RAM usage to jump from like 20% to 85%. Is that expected?
Cheers
Hello,
Firmware 07.04.4 was pulled for a few devices due to an issue with mobile connection when upgrading from older firmware versions. It is explained here: RUT240 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki
If you need to upload the backup files now, there are 2 options:
- Use RMs multi-configuration to apply the settings to all devices: RMS Device configuration - Teltonika Networks Wiki
- Modify the system config file in the backup file (
/etc/config/system
) and change the firmware from RUT2_R_00.07.04.4
to RUT2_R_00.07.04.3
. However, it should be noted that the firmware version check is in place for a reason - if any configuration file option was changed in the newer firmware, it could cause issues with the older firmware versions, thus I’d recommend testing the functionality after applying the backup if this method will be used.
Best regards,
