RUT140 wireless client mode

Hello,

I want to give internet connectivity to a wired-only device.

I already checked the RUT140 Client mode - how do this - Networking Solutions - Teltonika Community topic, but I don’t understand how to “distribute the connectivity over the LAN ports by default”.

Also I didn’t find a “Basic mode” in the WebUI.

Best regards,

Lucien

Greetings, @lucien,

Welcome to Teltonika Community!

To provide a wired-only device with an internet connection, simply connect it to a LAN port on the RUT140. If the RUT140 has an active internet connection, it will share it with any device connected to its LAN port.

The Basic/Advanced mode terminology was used in legacy firmware versions; the latest firmware releases no longer include this distinction.

Additionally, if you want your device to act as a wireless client, you can follow this step-by-step guide:

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best wishes,
V.

OK, that works, thanks!

The internet is shared from the wireless client.

EDIT: It seems to work only if a DHCP server is activated on the LAN port and the wired-only device is configured with a dynamic IP. I think that was my problem yesterday.

Hello,

Thank you for your swift response.
