RUT X50 modem fw update fails

For over a month the internal modem firmware gives error message when trying to update through the gui.

How can I get this resolved?

Modem model RG501Q-EU, firmware RG501QEUAAR12A11M4G_04.200.04.200

Upgrade router to 07.12 first and then try modem again.

Updated the firmware and still the same continues. Also previosly updated multiple versions with the issue continuing with the modem fw update.

Hello @JKo,

Could you try downloading the modem firmware with a wired WAN connection as the primary internet source to the router and check if the issue still persists?

Additionally, it can be useful to perform a hard (preferably) or regular reboot of the router after the firmware upgrade to ensure everything is properly applied.

No wired connection available. I know it worked before as have updated it multiple times prior to this fw version.

Is there any logs that can be found what goes wrong?

You can check system logs by navigating to System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot and pressing on . However, there may not be logs directly related to the modem firmware upgrade.

To update here also, After resetting the Root CA in System > Administration > Certificates, the modem update went through from the GUI. There was changes made during the OpenVPN setup that seemed to have affected something.
