Hi
I’m using a RUT 360 and I’ve had a problem with the wifi starting a few days ago. All LAN-connected devices keep on working perfectly, but all Wi-Fi devices lose connection and aren’t able to reconnect again. In the wireless settings, the signal strength goes down to 0%, even though it is in Access Point mode (see screenshot). Turning the wifi off, “save and apply”, turning it back on again, “save and apply” does help to fix the Wi-Fi for a couple of hours.
I tried updating to the latest firmware (RUT36x_R_00.07.04.5) which did not help.
The first thing I would like to menton is that the WiFi signal will always show ‘0%’ if there are no clients connected to the WiFi.
A few things to try:
Disable ‘Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement’ option.
Enabe ‘Disable Inactivity Polling’.
In Global WiFi settings (right above your WiFi instance), try changing a channel. You can try changing channel width as well. Transmit power should be set to 100%.
In case these options do not help, then wait for the issue to reoccurs, and without making any changes navigate to System → Administration → Troubleshoot and ‘view’ system logs. If there is any sensitive information in the logs, such as public IP addresses, please hide/blur this information and post logs here.
