RMS Hostname cannot be resolved

Hi, I have one RUT240 which cannot connect to RMS reporting “Failure (failed to resolve hostname)”. What can I do? I cannot find any DNS-server-settings to modify…

This error message usually occurs due to the device not having any internet, or your mobile operator (if you’re using a SIM) blocking the RMS IPs/Ports, list here: What IP addresses and ports are used by RMS? - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Try going to WebUI > System > Maintenance > Troubleshoot > Diagnostics and send a ping to google.com or 8.8.8.8 and see if you don’t get the network unreachable error, if you do, there’s your issue.

Oh, and also, the default host name should be rms.teltonika-networks.com I believe, make sure it’s set to that. Authentication code field should be empty if RMS doesn’t prompt you to enter one. (these are under WebUI > Services > Cloud Solutions > RMS)

Thanks for your help, in the meantime I made a factory reset and repeated the whole configuration (without changes…), now everything works…
