RMS device auth code for FW version: RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5

Hi,
I have a RUT955 with FW version: RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5 (due to Product code RUT955H7VXXX).
I cannot activate it on RMS:
Device says “Connection State Failure (Error: Expired license.)”
RMS says: “Put activation Code on device, available from Firmware 7.7.1 or 7.6.12 onwards”

→ I cannot add the Auth Code on the device. Neither WebUI, nor via uci CLI as described here
(Failure (Error: Expired license.) on RUT950 RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5).
set rms_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.auth_code=‘xxxxxx’
→ uci: Invalid argument

Hello,

Could you try sending the following SMS command to see if that makes any improvement?

<admin password> uci set rms_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.auth_code=auth code && uci commit rms_mqtt

The auth code should be entered without using single quotes ('), <admin password> is your current device admin password.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Hi,

FYI:

SMS Rule „uci API” is disabled by default.

After enabling, the SMS was processed and reply SMS “created new option …” sent.

But RMS connections state remains “Failure (Error: expired licence)”.

I tried to set RMS connection to Standby or Deactived and Activate again, but it does not change the problem.

Reboot of device does not help either.

Hello,

Thank you for the update.

Have you tried pressing Connect in Services → Cloud Solutions → RMS page?
