Hi, I have generated a remote connection link on RMS portal, this link has durantion of 37537:24:20 days, countdown runs. once clicking on the link I get a Connection unsuccesfull error. If ai generate a new link, with standard and so shorter duration, it works, so this means the router is on-line and the device connected to it is as well reacheable and on-line. what should I do to have the link working again. there’s no advise for firmware update of the router.
I have talked to William in Teltonika tech supp team about
Before we proceed, we would like to ask a few questions to better understand the issue:
Could you please clarify which service you are using to generate the remote connection link? For example, are you using RMS Connect → Remote Access?
If so, could you please clarify which device you are trying to access? If it is a Teltonika Networks device, please provide the device model. If it is another end device connected to the router, please let us know what type of device it is, as well as the protocol and port you are trying to access.
Additionally, could you please explain why you require the generated link to remain valid for such a long period of time?
As an additional troubleshooting step, have you tried opening the generated link in a different browser or in private/incognito mode? It would also be helpful to test whether the link works when opened from another device, such as a different computer or smartphone.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to your response.
The link allows to access a PLC connected via Ethernet Cable to Teltonika Router, ModelRUT200, Serial 6002863661. The PLC has a webserver inside, and the link allows to access webpages to operate on the PLC, on http (Non secured), port 80
The reason to have and endless link, or long lasting, is because this link allow to connect the PLC used to control basic functions of the houses, and it is shared among my family. so a permanent link will be the ideal condition
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end. to avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 20293.
Once you have completed the form, we will continue our communication through a private channel.
Additionally, could you please confirm whether the PLC’s Web Server is still unreachable when generating a new access link with a longer validity period?
If the PLC’s Web Server becomes reachable when using a newly generated link, this may indicate that the issue was related to an RMS update. The RMS system is continuously being improved, and updates are released regularly. In some cases, previously generated links to RUT/TRB devices or connected end devices may stop working after such updates.
Since the date of your original post, two RMS updates have been released that included fixes related to remote access functionality.
Please let us know whether generating a new link with a longer validity period resolves the issue, or if you are still experiencing the same behavior.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to your response.
In my mail box didn’t arrive any mail/questionnaire, I have checked several time. I have received instead the mail with your answer. Is there any other way you could make the form available? Maybe through a link over this chat?
Answering your question, when the link does not work (and so the PLC is not reacheable), when I generate a new link, longer or shorter endurance, the new link works and web pages are then reachable,
