Question about triggering digital output on Wi-Fi WAN connection (RUT241)

Hello Teltonika Support Team,

I am using an RUT241 and would like to configure the digital output pin to turn ON when the router successfully connects to a Wi-Fi access point (Wi-Fi WAN).

With mobile data connections, I can use the “Mobile Data” event in Event Juggler to achieve this (output ON when mobile data is active). However, I cannot find a similar event for Wi-Fi WAN connections.

  • Is there an event in Event Juggler that can be used to detect a successful Wi-Fi WAN connection?

  • If not, is there a recommended method (e.g., ConnChecker, scripting, or future firmware updates) to achieve the same functionality?

My goal is to have the output pin remain ON as long as the Wi-Fi WAN connection is active, similar to how it works with mobile data.

Thank you very much for your guidance.

Best regards, Sumida

Hello,

At the moment, to change the digital output state when the WiFi state changes, a custom script can be written. Here is an example of a script for a similar question: RUTX50: How can i configure the digital Output to switch on when WIFI is ready? - #2 by Sigismundus

Additionally, I recommend checking our wiki page with custom script examples: User Scripts Examples.

Please let me know if you have any further questions about this.

Hello,

I would like to inform you that I successfully implemented the digital output control based on the Wi-Fi and mobile connection status by using a custom script, as you suggested. The solution works well, and I can now indicate the network status with an external lamp.

Thank you very much for your quick and helpful support. Your guidance was exactly what I needed.

This resolves my issue, so you may close this case.
