Problem with VPN via Mobile connection

Hi all,
I’m having problems with a RUT901 installed on a machine. The RUT is connected via mobile SIM, which is working correctly. If i use the RUTwifi from a PC i can correctly access to the web and all the LAN connected devices.

Hi have created a VPN Hub dedicated to my RUT901. The VPN was correctly working in office, but now that we are using the Mobile SIM i can’t reach the two IPs in the LAN that i need.

I think that the problem is related to Network Zones and Firewall configuration. But i can’t find the correct config.

Thanks a lot,

Ivan

VNPHub is online ad reachable.
Modem is online but i can’t access the internal IPs (192.168.1.100)

Hello,

Just to clarify—when your RUT WAN is WiFi, are you able to reach the IPs added to the routes to the VPN hub? And when the RUT WAN is mobile, are you unable to reach these IPs from the VPN hub?

If this is the issue, could you please confirm whether, when using mobile WAN, you can reach your RUT via its VPN hub IP?

Best regards,

Hi Marijia,
I correct what I said.

At this moment the RUT is connected to the web both via mobile and via Wifi, I can choose which connection to use.

I see the modem online from the RMS control panel.

But I can’t access the internal IPs (192.168. 1.100)

As you can see from the attached image I can also access the modem’s remote management, and therefore reach the administration page from the external network.

It seems to me that the problem is related to “permissions” that allow you to pass from the VPN HUB to reach the internal IPs that I need.

Hello,

I see that you are able to access your router via remote access.

Could you please confirm whether you can access your router using its VPN hub IP? This IP can be found in the following section:

Best regards,

Hi Marija,
Now i have created a new VPN Hub (the old one was it had become unusable, perhaps it had some errors). We also managed to connect the modem via wired WAN, in order to speed up the connection.

Now with the new HUB, which is pointing the same RUT901, i can reach the IP 192.168.255.10:

I can also reach the PLC at 192.168.1.100.

I don’t know where the error could have been. Maybe the previous hub got corrupted after trying different changes?

Hello,

I’m glad to hear that the issue has been resolved.

Regarding the previous hub issue, unfortunately, I don’t have enough troubleshooting data to determine the exact cause of the problem. However, if the issue arises again in the future, please feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

Best regards,
