Powering x50 and RUT140 via TSW101 POE switch

Hi at all,
I need to power on my RUTX50 and RUT140 via TSW101 POE switch… is it possible?
Thanks a lot.

Regards

Alas the answer is ‘No’ as the TSW101 delivers ‘active’ PoE using the 802.3af and 802.3at standards.

Both the RUTX50 and RUT140 require ‘passive’ PoE on LAN1.

You could use an ‘Active to Passive Gigabit PoE Converter’ if you are set on powering the devices through LAN1. Note the max power consumption of the RUTX50 and RUT140, as this will determine the spec of the converter. Also given the RUTX50 will consume a maximum of 18W, the converter will have to be powered FROM an 802.3at compliant port on the switch.

Thank you … for a RUTX50, I use a Mikrotik RBGPOE-CON-HP PoE Converter (active to passive).
