I’ve got an OTD500 and today I flashed the latest firmware (OTD5_R_00.07.23.5).
While looking at the various settings on the user interface, I found out that the modem temperature is at 87°C and at the same time, my speed is at:
download: 328 Mbps
upload: 6 Mbps
wow thats rather slow upload speed… weird right? could the slow upload speed be related to the high temperature?

Has the device been reaching these temperatures since it was first powered on, or did the issue start at a later point?
Where is the device installed, and what is the approximate ambient temperature?
Do you have any other OTD devices available for comparison? If so, what modem temperatures do they typically report under similar operating conditions?
How is the OTD500 currently being powered? Are you using the supplied PoE injector, a third-party PoE source, or another power solution? If you are using a third-party PoE source, could you please specify its brand and model?
The answers to these questions may help us determine whether this behavior is isolated to a single unit or influenced by other factors.
Regarding the carrier aggregation issue, could you also please provide the following information:
The full product code of the OTD500
The modem firmware version currently installed on the device
The device’s location is particularly important, as the availability of frequency bands and carrier aggregation combinations can vary depending on the region and mobile network operator.
We are currently attempting to reproduce the reported behavior in our own testing environment to investigate the underlying cause and gather additional information.

Not altogether directly relevant but…
I’m in the UK and today the outside temperature in the shade is 17 degrees at 11am. My Browning wildlife camera placed on the ground near a large pond in the garden in full sun has a temperature of 47 degrees. At 2pm it’ll be another 15 to 20 degrees warmer!
Most things outside in full sun will heat up a lot higher than the ambient air temperature, this is normal.

I tried the new firmware OTD5_R_00.07.23.7 which corrected the carrier aggregation problem.
Unfortunately, it did not correct the modem high temperature, today its at 95 °C
