Just installed an OTD500. Firmware on the device came as OTD5_R_00.07.16.3. The web interface tells me latest ‘stable version’ to be OTD5_R_00.07.18.3. I can download the newer firmware from Teltonika’s server and click install. However, then an error message prompts me with ‘Firmware image is incompatible with this device. Make sure that your firmware is obtained from official sources‘.
Well, I would have thought that Teltonika’s servers and the automated update function of the web interface are the best source, clicking on firmware updates prompted in the webinterface is recommendable and overall this to be the best way to update firmware.
Any recommendations?

Could you please try updating the firmware manually to the latest version, OTD5_R_00.07.20.1_WEBUI.bin? You can download it from the following link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/OTD500_Firmware_Downloads
To update the firmware from a file, navigate to System → Firmware → Update Firmware, then select Update from File, as shown in the image below.
