No Port Forwarding in version RUT2_R_00.07.04.5 on RUT240

PLEASE REPLY ASAP!

I’m not seeing an option to forward ports in RUT2_R_00.07.04.5. Can’t find an option to do so when following tutorials. I’m unable to update firmware due to the modem being remote with 48kbps IOT connection. My other post on this matter was unanswered. PLEASE HELP.

Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us.
Here’s a link to the wiki for setting up Port forwarding, which should work for your firmware.
Link Port Forwards: RUT240 Firewall - Teltonika Networks Wiki
If You have already set up some other port forward rules check the Firewall > Traffic rules list. Do you see them there?

Andrii.

Hi @Aragorn,

  1. why do you open a new topic although your previous one
regarding the same issue is still open?
  2. your previous topic has been answered by @AndriiL
  3. what do you expect from a community forum?
    30 seconds reply time?
  4. the screenshots in the wiki show exactly the same
picture as on “the real thing”, here a screenshot of one of
my (59(!)) routers with exactly the identical firmware version:

So what exactly is your problem despite obviously being unable
to grasp what others are writing and trying to help you?

Thanks, I can’t connect to the modem at this time for some reason, so unable to try port forwarding… And it’s remote with 48kbps connection… Connection has need working all this time but not when I got this topic reply :)) If I’m able to do it before this topic closes automatically, I’ll create a new one if you don’t mind.

Andril replied to the old topic the same day when he replied to this new one one - which was 2 days after I created the old topic. This is seen by the post dates. Next day after 1st topic I replied asking anyone to answer, waited another day. And only then, on day 3, I created another topic.

Hi @Aragorn,
one of my routers is on 2G (instead of 4G) due to a very weak
signal and already this is painfully slow. I can’t imagine what
48kbps feels like (and I don’t want to  ).

Let’s start all over and ask you some questions:

  • what exactly do you want to accomplish?
  • how do you access the router?
    – via Teltonikas RMS?
    – via public IP?
    – via a VPN tunnel?
  • according to your screenshot you are in exactly the right
place for port forwarding if you compare it to my screen shot
  • so what is your problem?
    – Is it that you create a port forwarding and then it does not
    show up?

Again - you are where you should be if you want port forwarding.
BUT we need more information from you!

This topic will stay open for 13 mor days so we should be able to
find a solution for you.

Otherwise we might ask @AndriiL to increase the lifetime of this topic.

Ok, I just created a new port forwarding instance in Network - Firewall - Port Forwarding - Add New Instance. But it’s not available in Firewall - Traffic Rules! And this had happened before: I’ve added instances and they were not available there. I see all those default rules in there but not my port forwarding rules… Why??

Advanced Mode is enabled on top right corner… I’ve tried it via DDNS logging as well as RMS.

Hi @Aragorn,
now, finally, I understand what you want to say.

No, a port forwarding rule in NOT a traffic rule.
Neither is it a (S)NAT rule. Therefore it does not
show up in either of these two sections. It is a
DNAT rule and you can see it via the CLI using
this command:

iptables -t nat -vL zone_wan_prerouting
