I have a TRB500 that I tried with two different SIM cards that does not seem to get a network connection. The sim cards is working in a mobile phone. The TRB500 have the latest firmware but for modem I don’t know. I have tried with manual APN but it will not connect. What can I do to solve this?
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such.
To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 19496.
Does the router recognise the presence of the inserted sim?
Not all sims are the same and some providers don’t like customers using sims in routers. Have you contacted the provider and asked if your device (Router) is blocked?

It’s generally accepted that we should update firmwares as they become available because updates are developed to resolve known issues.
How far behind is your current firmware version? If it’s a good few months old then i would update both firmwares to the latest stable versions asap. You’ll need to check the devices firmware and the modems firmware too, two different updates.
So is Fello piggy backing on the Telia network, essentially the same network?
Is it possible to try a sim from a different provider altogether? Not a Telia or any other provider piggy backing on the Telia network.
If Fello is piggy backing on the Telia network then my gut feeling is that the device (router) has been blocked by either Fello or the parent network provider Telia.
I have the latest firmware for the Gateway but I don’t know for the modem. It is not possible to download from Teltonika. I have seen on the forum that some customers has got these firmware via mail.
When you get the router connected, you might then get prompted to update the modems firmware.
My gut feeling is that the device (router) has been blocked by either Fello or the parent network provider Telia because it’s not a smartphone.
The only other thing to consider is where is the router, in a building or in a vehicle and what antennas are you using. Can you move it outside to try?
Well the problem with Teltonika is that they do not allow you to upgrade the modem firmware unless you jump through their ticket hoops. So probably he is now doing that. Or trying.
(I try to keep somewhat uptodate on the device firmware, but for modem firmware that is too much trouble when they don’t just put it on their firmware page)
Now I have talked to Fello support and they have not blocked any routers and they can not see any problems on their side. Did you not see anything in the logs?
I suspect that in all probability teltonika don’t actually produce the modem firmwares themselfs and the modem manufacturer do it. This could be why they are offered differently.
I suspect that when we update the modems firmware it’s being downloaded from the modem manufacturers servers rather than teltonikas.
Just guessing, otherwise i can’t understand why it just couldn’t be incorporated within just one firmware update.
I’m not a Teltonika engineer and i don’t have access to the files you uploaded to them.

I can’t offer any further help myself now that i can think of. Hopefully someone more knowledable or a Teltonika Engineer will offer further assistence shortly.
I got an reply from Teltonika to upgrade modem firmware but as I don’t have internet connection on the device itself I must get the firmware file from someone? They didn’t provide it.
