I have a RUT955 which was working and receiving GPS information and NMEA fording worked. I updated the firmware in two steps from the original legacy version to the latest RUT9_R_00.07.06.18. Since the upgrade the GPS Map page has been showing “No GPS Signal”. I have replaced the GPS antenna and I have done a factory default configuration without success.
All the tabs on the GPS->General page are set to on.
Any advice appreciated
PS I took the firmware back to RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5 and the GPS is working
Could you please let us know from which legacy firmware version you initially updated to RutOS 7.6.18? Also, while running firmware version 7.6.18, did you notice any error messages after logging in or while navigating through the WebUI (in the GPS or other sections)?
As a next step, could you try the following:
While running on the latest legacy 6.09.5 release, flash an older firmware version (such as 7.3.x or any version prior to 7.6) via the bootloader menu and check if GPS functionality is restored.
Instructions on how to enter the bootloader menu can be found here.
If GPS works on the intermediate version, proceed to flash 7.6.17 or 7.6.18 again via the bootloader and test GPS once more.
Let me know how this goes. If the issue persists, we’ll need to continue troubleshooting this matter privately through our other internal channel.
