Hi,
I’ve searched for similar topics but not found it yet, called support and they advised me to post it here.
I’m using RUT951 POE+
FW RUT9M_R_00.07.17.5
My goal is to setup
If WAN is connected, use the WAN port and profile ‘ALL TRAFFIC’,
If WAN is not connected, use eSIM / mob1s3a1 and use profile ‘LIMITED TRAFFIC’.
The profile ‘LIMITED TRAFFIC’ will have a whitelisting webfilter.
I’m getting stuck on setting up ‘failover’ mode though.
Not sure if relevant, but on Status:Overview Multiwan indicates 'mode:Failover’..
whereas i would expect to be in normal mode, as the WAN port is connected and online.
As seen from your attached screenshot, the WAN interface’s failover feature is disabled, therefore, it is not showing up in the failover menu. You can enable it simply by pressing the toggle button. For more information, please refer to this wiki article.
If by Limited Traffic you mean only to have a whitelisting webfilter, you can follow this example to try to set it up:
If your use-case consists of more complex traffic limitation it might require a custom script. Custom script writing is beyond our scope, however, if your use-case will require a custom script, you can refer to openWRT documentation for reference on how to create a custom script that suits your use-case.
When it comes to utilising our command line to achieve script codes, if you would like some assistance or guidance, let me know (e.g. interface names or particular commands.)
