Hello,
Could you clarify why this information is needed? Modem model is region-specific, and the modem itself should not require any interaction from the user. Modem updates are carried out via the FOTA updates, thus there is no need to install the firmware manually. Generally, EG06 is the modem used within most Cat 6 devices.
Best regards,
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I initially sought information about the possibility of manually aggregating carriers between different frequency bands in LTE cat 6, and i’ve already get the response on the Teltonika’s crowd-support forum, which you can find here : RUTX09 Carrier Aggregation B1+B3 - Crowd Support Forum | Teltonika Networks
And from what I’ve gathered, the bands that the router can aggregate depend on what is available in my area and used by my operator, but since the carrier aggregation is done by modem’s software, it also depends on the modem itself, based on the list of band aggregations that is mentioned in its datasheet. That’s why I needed information about the LTE modem model.
Therefore, as you mentioned that the EG06 Series is the modem used within most Cat 6 Teltonika devices, I assume that it is the EG06-EA that will be used in my region (North Africa).
Thank you for your information.
Best regards,
Hello,
Carriers in the United States do not use B1 or B3, thus different bands would be aggregated. A list of bands used in the US by each operator and territory can be found here:
Modem within the North American Cat 6 RUTX devices is EG06-A.
