Zee, thanks for taking my call today. I have a RUT956 device deployed out in the field. I have it connected to a data logger to read two modbus values. I have configured both the TCP server and TCP Client and both registers are coming into the router. The only place in the router I can find where to read these values is the modbus TCP device configuration window and hit the “test” button on each register. This is going to be way too cumbersome for the end user. I am not sure if the device can be configured to send daily emails with these values or not? I do have the device on the RMS platform where it appears I should be able to create a monitoring template to monitor and log these two modbus values from the RUT956? There is a modbus monitoring template option and under TCP client, I found “Get the current value of request” which appears to be what I want. If I hit the expand arrow there, it will ask me for “Modbus TCP Client configuration ID” and I am not sure where I can find this? Request name would just be name of register I assume, or whatever I want to call it? Just want to make sure I’m even on the right path or not. Appreciate any help I can get. Thank you so much.
