Modbus Energy Meter wrong measurment

I run a lot of Teltonika routers, they read out electronic electricity meters via Modbus TCP or RUT.
The models include Rut956, 241 and 240.
Now that I have been receiving data for a long time, I noticed that the values ​​are false from certain registers. However, I read these registers to a Raspberry I get the correct values.
In detail, it is about the tabs of the meter stand for reference and feeding, here the value does not change with increasing values, partly the read figures drop.
I checked all the setting for the registers in the Modbus Client, this problem also occurs with another manufacturer (WAGO).

I read the register as a 32Bit float with the boundary order 3.4,1,2 get a value, but if this is selected with the Raspberry I use the order 1.2.3.4.

I can’t explain where the mistake comes from, maybe someone can help me?

Could you please answer the following questions:

  1. How do you verify if the values are correct or not?
  2. Are the register numbers accurate? Is there a possibility of a mismatch between the register address and the register number (e.g., an off-by-one error)?
  3. Have you tested all other byte order options for these registers (1,2,3,4; 4,3,2,1; 2,1,4,3; 3,4,1,2)? Does any of them provide the expected values?
  4. Could you please capture the requests sent and responses received using Wireshark, first with the Rut956 and then with the Raspberry Pi? This will allow us to compare the devices and check if the requests and responses are the same, and if the responses are parsed correctly.
