I’m setting up a new Teltonika RUT140 and noticed that the package repository does not include the Modbus Client/Master and Data to Server functionalities. This is unexpected, especially since these features are listed as supported on the RUT140 product page.
I have configured various Teltonika devices in the past (RUT140, RUT200, TRB246, RUT956) without any issues and currently have an RUT140 unit in the field that’s successfully bridging Modbus data to an MQTT broker.
Has anyone else experienced this issue recently?
Any guidance on how to access these missing packages would be greatly appreciated, as I’m on a tight deadline with clients.
The Modbus TCP Client, Server, Gateway, and Data to Server services are not included on the RUT140 package downloads page because these packages come preinstalled by default on the RUT140.
Could you let me know which firmware version you’re currently using? I can confirm that on the latest version, RUT14X_R_00.07.10.2, there are no issues accessing these packages. If you’re not on the latest firmware, updating might resolve the issue.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
I have to apologize for the confusion. It turns out that I made a beginner’s mistake.
I had not enabled Advanced Mode on the router interface, which is why I couldn’t see the Modbus TCP features. This was simply due to my haste in trying to complete the setup quickly.
I appreciate your assistance. Everything is now working as expected.
