LAN failover to SIM with RUT200

Good morning, I would like to use the RUT200 as a LAN backup in case of failover.
So the primary connection comes from the shop’s router which could have any configuration, the RUT200 should be transparent (like a switch) and pass the LAN connection to the downstream systems.
In case the shop’s LAN connection is missing or the cable is disconnected, then it must switch to mobile mode, but to avoid reconfiguring all the downstream devices it must “clone” the characteristics of the shop’s router and activate the DHCP server.
Is there a way to do it?
Alternatively I could evaluate a sub LAN created by the RUT200 and so it should only do the failover between LAN and SIM without cloning the characteristics of the shop’s router.
Many thanks

Hello,

Could you kindly clarify whether you intend to bridge your RUT200 with the shop’s LAN? If so, how should this be achieved — wirelessly or via a wired connection?

To achieve this setup, if a wireless bridge is required, the simplest method would be by using a Relayd mode. You can find detailed instructions for configuring this here:

If you’re looking for a wired bridge, could you please provide a simple network topology with relevant IPs or a more detailed description of the desired setup?

Best regards,
