The Data to Server service would be the best option for sending data to the MQTT server.

For example, if you want to collect the data via Modbus, you would have to set up a Modbus RTU Client ( TRB142 Modbus - Teltonika Networks Wiki)

Then the Data to Server configuration would look like this:
On Services → Data to Server add a new collection.
The Data configuration should look like shown in the picture.

After that click Next and configure the collection

After that click Next again and configure your server settings after choosing MQTT.
