How to force sim switch successfully via CLI

i am using a RUT951.
my primary sim works well as does the secondary sim if I have it in slot one.
i have set up auto switching for failed connection via my first sim fails, but I would like to be able to test that the sim 2 provider and switching works well.

i have not been able to successfully make this push occur Via CLI or direct webui

what command should I user here? does “sim_switch” direct in the lie of code perform this task?
when I do it via gsmctl -Y “–switch”
the switch occurs but connection is not successful. th e switch happens but the data connection does not flow though. this would lock me out if the device was remote

I have the APN set up as auto for both sim slots. and would prefer to have it this way.

please advise the best way to do this command line

thanks

Hello,

I just tested this function, and I can confirm there is an issue where the SIM switch does not happen as expected—it disconnects from the default mobile interface and reconnects to it again. This is a known issue, and our developers are working on a resolution. However, you mentioned that the switch occurs but the connection is unsuccessful. Are you certain about this?

If possible, could you execute logread -f, recreate the issue, and check the logs? Specifically, verify if mob1s1a1 switches to mob1s2a1, and look for any logs related to the connection. Alternatively, check if mob1s1a1 simply goes down and comes back up.

Best regards,
