How to change DNS settings via SMS

Hi on RUTx09 how can I change DNS settings via SMS command for SIM 1 WAN. It reports “Monitoring - enabled; Connection stat - Disconnected; Serial number - XXXXXXX; LAN MAC - ççççççççç; (Failed to resolve hostname)” and it won’t connect to RMS.

Hello,

You can try the following SMS command:

  • <Router_password> uci set network.mob1s1a1.dns=8.8.4.4
    • Replace <Router_password> with the actual router’s admin password.

However, the Connection stat - Disconnected indicates that the router has no data connection via mobile. Therefore, the first step is to resolve connectivity issues.
