With the help of support FTM880’s were upgraded from v2.14 to v3.07, not a user serviceable upgrade.
I’ve just had a 3rd FTM880 go offline, requiring it to be pulled and reset.
With 2.14 I could not even get TCT to connect and had to remove the battery for a hard reset.
With the 3.07 device it reported online per the 1NCE SIM manager portal, but was offline in FOTA and offline in TracCar. After pulling it from the vehicle, it did connect to TCT, and it started reporting again after I issued a “.reset” command from the console.
I again sent the dump file to my supplier to provide to support.
I just read the announcement that the FTM880 is now fully certified for use in the US, it may be certified, but it is in my experience not fit for purpose, while my older FMM880’s do not have as great signal, they at least do not go offline.
