Hi, I use a RUT955 to access a PLC. I have set up the forwarding and have direct access to it via DynDNS. Unfortunately, the forwarding prevents access to the router settings. I currently have no access to the router via LAN / WIFI. How can I bypass the forwarding?
Thanks in advance!
Martin
Hello,
It sounds like the port forwarding you’ve configured for accessing your PLC via DynDNS forwards all traffic (including common ports like 80 or 443) to the PLC, the router might redirect even the traffic intended for the router’s web interface to the PLC.
Was remote access enabled and can you reach your router via public IP? If so, disable the port forwarding rule. Change the router‘s remote HTTP access port to the one from the port forwarding rule. Check if the router‘s WebUI is reachable via this port. Revert the changes.
Additionally, if it’s possible, could you provide a troubleshoot file that can be downloaded from System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot troubleshoot section? Since we do not have direct messages possibility on this forum. I’ve sent you Hubspot instructions. Follow them to attach a downloaded TS file.
Let us know if anything helps or if you need any further assistance.
Best Regards,
Hello Martynas,
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I don’t have access to the router as it is 700km away.
I wasn’t able to access it via the public IP. I will adjust the settings on the router the next time I visit the site so that access is also possible from outside.
BR Martin
