we want to update our FMC150 firmware to the latest newest version 04.01.00.Rev.08, after download the firmware files we founded a document that describe that bootloader and can chip must patched in some conditions.
in our case the FMC150 firmware version is already 03.29.00.Rev.157 and CAN Chip version is 00_02.04.01 .. it is no need to update can chip and bootloader in this case ? can we update firmware directly to 04.01.00.Rev.08 without update CAN Chip and bootloader ?
Also it is possible to update the device firmware when the vehicle engine is ON and moving ? in our case installed on Volvo FM mk3
I hope you are doing well. You may update the device to the latest Firmware version if you found some useful fixed parameters on the latest version. On the other hand, CAN Chip Firmware has also some adjustments and if you need those changes you may update the CAN Chip Firmware at the same time as well.
