I have been attempting to configure a FMM130 so that it will send a SMS notification when an input changes (such as ignition is on). However the Rev 18 firmware seems to be missing the required parameters.
The configurator doesn’t have the relevant SMS fields in the ‘I/O’ settings page. I have also tried using sms messages to do the configuration (just in case it was an issue with the configurator). The responses from the sms messages are that the relevant parameters are invalid. (e.g. sending ‘ getparam 7000’ results in ‘Param ID:7000 doesn’t exist).
I did update the firmware to the latest version (03.29.00.Rev.18) before attempting to configure this module, so I’m not sure if it was also an issue with the earlier firmware (0.3.29.00.Rev.14).
Am I missing something in the configuration, or is there an issue with the firmware? Any help or assistance would be appreciated.
Could you clarify further? Is it possible to configure the FMM130 to directly send a SMS? Or does the SMS have to come from a portal instead?
And which ‘software portal’ is used to configure the SMS capability?
Alternatively, is it possible to use an earlier version of the firmware and configurator that has the sms fields for the i/o? I’m keen to have the FMM130 issue notifications directly via sms rather than rely on a portal, if that’s possible?
The I/O event configuration has removed from the I/O tab of configurator, However, you can still configure the sms event based on the AVL ID (Data Sending Parameters).
