FMB204 Not Charging!

Hi,

I need help with the following, it’s quite urgent.

My FMB204 does not charge, even though the “Battery Charge Mode” is set to “Always”.

The conditions are:

1. The device is turned on, using the internal battery only, not connected to the external power.
2. The device enters Ultra Sleep Mode after some time (in my case after a minute or so).
3. External power turns on.

The device will only start charging if it wakes up (via the accelerometer or ignition).

Configurator: 1.8.10.B.4.00_R.7

Firmware: 04.00.00 Rev:13

Configuration: 12.0.0.0

May I know how you identify that the device is not charging? also, are you able to identify if the device is using battery power or external power?

1. Ultra Sleep Mode Behavior:

   • In Ultra Sleep Mode, the device enters its lowest power consumption state.

   • According to Teltonika’s documentation, even if Battery Charge Mode is set to “Always”, the device may not wake up to start charging unless one of the following conditions is met:

     • Movement is detected by the accelerometer

     • Ignition is turned on

     • Periodic wake-up is configured

2. Battery Charge Mode Setting:

   • The “Always” setting should allow charging even during sleep modes

   • However, Ultra Sleep Mode may override this behavior unless the device is explicitly configured to wake up periodically or respond to external power events.
