H all,
We use the Teltonika RMS VPN service and it works great so far. However, we have now noticed that when we restart the RMS VPN Hub, the devices are assigned different IP addresses. However, we need to have a fixed assignment for our internal customers, otherwise they may access the wrong router. Is it possible to configure the VPN Hub so that it retains the assigned IP addresses even when the VPN Hub is restarted? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there,
If understood correctly, you need to set a Static IP address for your device in the RMS VPN Hub, so it doesn’t change after each restart.
This can be done by going into the RMS VPN Hub settings → Clients tab → Pressing on the little cog wheel besides your device → Then setting the static IP address for the device and saving the changes.

Thank you very much for the super quick response!
OK, I was unsure whether the static IP would mess up the VPN hub. I will therefore set the previously automatically assigned addresses as static.
Many thanks!
Glad I could help!
But now I have to ask some more questions. My work colleague has also registered as a client (DHCP) in the same VPN hub and has now received an address from the VPN hub which I have already assigned as a fixed IP address for one of the devices. Is the problem with the client or does the VPN hub not take the fixed addresses into account?
Hi there,
I was just informed that this is a bug that the RMS team is aware of and the RMS R&D team is currently working on.

M.
Thank you! That is very helpful.
